“Local people in East Gatiadenga want to recover illegal weapons”

Sukant Bikash Dhar, Satkania: An exchange meeting with the local people was held today, Saturday, November 4, in the afternoon at Hangramukh Bazar in the East Gatiadenga area of Nalua Union in Satkania, which has become a terror town. The people of the 4th, 5th, and 6th wards of this union participated in it. In the exchange meeting, the local people highlighted their various grievances and the extreme deterioration of the law and order situation in the area in recent times.

The police officials expressed their commitment to stand by the local people and said that the police are people’s servants and friends. Our job is to ensure the safety of the people by keeping the law and order situation normal. We will not shirk our responsibility under any circumstances. Why should ordinary people be sacrificed for their own evil purposes? Why would they be afraid? The police will be obliged to take any action to ensure the legal protection of the public. No matter how powerful you are, no one is above the law. There is still time; be careful. Avoid conflict and return to the right path. If you respect the law, the administration will be kind. We know what people in the area are like and who does what. No one will be spared if we are forced to be strict. All the troublemakers will be brought under the law. We are determined to ensure the safety of the people in the area. Furthermore, during the discussion meeting, the locals were urged to become aware of and resist those who cause chaos in society.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Satkania Circle, Shibli Noman, was the chief guest in the gathering. In the rally, the locals portrayed the deteriorating law and order situation in Ward No. 5 of Nalua Union. They claimed that the ward’s peace and order had recently deteriorated to an extreme.Fueled by an identified mahal, some rising youths and teenagers of the area are being used in various criminal activities. They are also involved in drug use and business. They are terrorizing the neighborhood by throwing bullets and beating people.Attacks were carried out only when they were opposed. There is nothing they don’t do to dominate the area and hold the common people hostage. The common people want to get rid of these. Local people want to recover illegal weapons.
