Compared to last year, the cost has increased by 1 lakh, 61 thousand, and 868 taka.
On Wednesday (February 1), the Hajj package was finalized under the chairmanship of the State Minister for Religion, Faridul Haque Khan, in the meeting of the Executive Committee regarding Hajj Management in the meeting room of the Ministry of Religion at the Secretariat.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, the holy Hajj will be held on June 28. Bangladesh signed a bilateral Hajj agreement with Saudi Arabia on January 9 to perform Hajj this year. This year, 1 lakh, 27 thousand, and 198 pilgrims from Bangladesh are permitted to perform Hajj.
15 thousand people can perform Hajj under government supervision, while 112 thousand and 198 people can do so under private supervision. The age limit for performing Hajj has also been lifted for people over the age of 65. It is expected that the cost of Hajj may increase this year.
