Own Correspondent: The contractors have been accused of entering the office of the project director of Chittagong City Corporation (CHSIC) and beating him without getting work.
The incident took place in the office of project director Golam Yazdani on the fourth floor of TigerPass’ temporary office in the city on Sunday afternoon. At this time, the project manager’s table and nameplate were broken.
According to city corporation sources, the general meeting was held at the old city building in the city’s Andarkilla district.After the meeting, the project director came to his office at the temporary head office of TigerPass at 4:15. Ghulam Yazdani. At that time, about 20–25 contractors entered his room without permission. At one stage of the conversation, the project manager was attacked by the contractors. At that time, the contractors kept punching the project manager. Tilak Dey, an office assistant, went to save him but was beaten up.
At one stage of the attack, the contractors broke the project manager’s nameplate and glass table. The concerned parties have alleged that they attacked after staying for about 10 minutes. After the beating, the contractors were quickly suspended from the city corporation.

Santosh Kumar Chakma, OC of Khulshi police station in Chittagong city, said, “I came to the spot after hearing the news.” If complaints are received, legal action will be taken.
Md. Golam Yazdani is the Executive Engineer of the Directorate of Local Government Engineering. On August 14, last year, the local government department issued an office order appointing him as the director of the project titled “Development of various roads, including the airport road under Chittagong City Corporation and important infrastructure developmentding the airport road under Chittagong City Corporation and important infrastructure development.”
