1929 recruitment in 40th BCS

Dhaka Bureau: 40th BCS final result gazette published. 1 thousand 929 people have been appointed to the entry posts of various cadres of Bangladesh Civil Service from among those who have passed it.

This gazette was published on Tuesday (November 1) in a notification signed by KM Ali Azam, Senior Secretary, New Recruitment Wing, Ministry of Public Administration, by order of the President.

According to the notification, according to the National Pay Scale, 2015, the salary of newly appointed candidates will be Tk. 22000-53060.

It states that the candidates have to undergo basic training in public administration training center or training institute designated by the government. He has to work as an apprentice for two years.

Candidates are requested to join the office directed/designated by the concerned cadre controlling ministry or department on 4th December.

Earlier, the relevant notification documents for the final notification of the 40th BCS were issued by the President. Ministry of Public Administration has sent Abdul Hamid to his office. It is published in notification form after signing by the President.

More than four years ago, the Public Service Commission (PSC) released the 40th BCS recruitment notification. Sources in the Ministry of Public Administration said that the notification has been delayed due to the delay in receiving all the health examination and police verification reports.

On September 11, 2018, PSC released the 40th BCS recruitment circular. A total of 1 thousand 903 cadres are said to be appointed there. 4 lakh 12 thousand 532 candidates applied for that BCS.

The preliminary exam was held on 3 May 2019. 3 lakh 27 thousand candidates took the exam. In the results published on July 25 of that year, 20 thousand 277 candidates passed the preliminary.

The written exam starts in January 2020 and ends in February. Then, when the corona epidemic started in the country, other activities including evaluation of written examination book were disrupted. After almost a year behind, the result of the written exam was published on January 27 last year. 10 thousand 964 people passed it.
