Correspondent: International Islamic University of Chittagong (IIUC) Faculty of Arts and Humanities has inaugurated the two-day International Conference 2023 on the theme “Envisioning the Future: Teaching Language and Literature”. Today, Friday (January 20), this international conference started at 10 am in the central auditorium of the International Islamic University of Chittagong (IIUC). IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwarul Azim Arif was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the International Conference 2023.
In the speech of the chief guest, he said that new ideas should be discovered for the development of human civilization. This discovery will happen through the practice of language and literature. Language and literature practice will play an important role in realizing the dream of the father of the nation.
IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. present as a special guest. Mohammad Mashrurul Mawla said in his speech that language and literary practice are essential in making education universal.

In the President’s speech, he said that IIUC is making all-out efforts in the light of building a better nation through language education and literary practice.
National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University former vice-chancellor professor Dr. Mohit Ul Alam said in his keynote speaker speech that language and literature are complementary to each other. Language and literature are not mutually exclusive. They run in parallel. Language learning should be done in a fun environment. There are also cultural influences on this language. This is the multidimensionality of language. We must continue to strive for a harmony between language and literature.
Professor Dr. Aligarh Muslim University of India. Sanaullah Al-Nadvi said in his key note speaker that human civilization has played a positive role by capitalizing on language and literature. Language and Literature – Classical, Modern, Postmodern, Oriental, Islamic and European influences are observed. All influences revolve around the overall welfare of the human race.
US English Language Fellow Mimi Marstler said in her keynote speaker that students need to connect their experiences through language learning. Students’ experiences should be brought into the language learning process.
American English Language Fellow Allen Stewart was also present as a key-note speaker.
Professor Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Sociology of IIUC was also present. Jahed Hossain Sikder, Director of IQAC Dr. Delwar Hossain, Registrar AFM Aktaruzzaman Kaiser, Proctor Md. Iftekhar Uddin, Chairman of Sharia and Islamic Studies Department Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Haque Nadvi.
The inauguration ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the performance of the national anthem.

More than a hundred researchers from different universities presented their research papers at the international conference. This international conference will end tomorrow.
