Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Whoever talks about corruption, I have said in the parliament – give me information about where corruption is happening, I will take action. (Talking about corruption) will not be done only by word of mouth. Now I have to hear from such people who themselves are corrupt. He said these things in the meeting of the newly-elected National Committee, Central Executive Parliament and Advisory Council of Awami League this Saturday morning (January 14).
Awami League president Sheikh Hasina presided over the joint meeting. At the time, he said, “those who have become the champions of corruption in Bangladesh or some may say that the pressure on the poor people to pay interest is such that they often have to leave their homes and leave the area or commit suicide.”
Sheikh Hasina said that the work done by the government in 14 years has brought a lot of development in the country. The government is providing subsidies to ease people’s lives amid the post-corona global recession. You have to think about standing on your own feet. Due to the recession, the government is doing a lot of calculations.
Bangabandhukanya said that the Awami League keeps its promises, the people are getting the benefits because they are working with the promises. As Awami League is in power, the country is self-sufficient in food.
