The accused is the son of Kala Mia of Dakshin Shashidal village of Brahmanpara upazila of Comilla district. Age 42.
In 2001, Shahjahanpur village of Madhavpur police station of Habiganj district. Moin Uddin was appointed in the Jail Guard Examination. The authority sent his appointment letter by post. Tajul Islam went to Moin Uddin’s house with that appointment letter and introduced himself as a senior officer of the Directorate of Prison Guards. He said that he will need money to get the appointment letter. But Moin Uddin refused to get the job in exchange of bribe and turned Tajul Islam back.
This time the fraudster Tajul Islam drew another idea. He himself joined the service as Moin Uddin. Then in 2015, when the national identity card was required due to scale, Tajul Islam made a fake national identity card with Moinuddin’s name and address and submitted it to the office.
Later in 2020, authorities were shaken when news broke in the media that 200 prison guards in Sylhet division were working as non-permanent residents of Sylhet. Verification begins. In the continuation of this, while verifying the name and address of Moin Uddin, it can be seen that the real Moin Uddin is currently working in a pharmacy shop.
Then on Thursday (January 12) afternoon, RAB arrested Tajul Islam from his area in a special operation of RAB. RAB-11 CPC-2 company captain Shakib Ahmed confirmed the matter to reporters at Shaktala RAB-11 CPC-2 office in Comilla city on Friday morning.
At this time, three sets of prison guard uniform, a prison guard jacket, raincoat, fake national identity card were recovered from Tajul Islam.
According to RAB, Moin Uddin applied to join the service on September 25, 2021. At that time, Tajul Islam threatened him in various ways and told him that he would need 10 lakhs to get a job. Moin Uddin refused and approached the High Court at one point.
Moin Uddin Khan said, I want to get my job back. Because of which I have been deprived of government service for 22 years, I want appropriate punishment with the help of the administration.
Comilla RAB Commander Major Saqib said that Tajul Islam had been enjoying government facilities including working for a long time using the name and address of Moin Uddin Khan while concealing his real name and address. The accused will be handed over to the investigating officer.
