Tangail Correspondent: Five passengers of an autorickshaw, including a child, were killed when a train ran over them at an unprotected railway crossing in Dapakandi area of Bhuyapur-Tarakandi railway line of Bhuyapur upazila of Tangail. Three others were injured in the incident.
The accident happened on Wednesday (January 11) around 11:30 am. The names of the dead and injured were not immediately known.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhuyapur Police Station Faridul Islam confirmed the truth of the incident.
OC Faridul Islam said that the dead and injured were rescued and sent to Upazila Health Complex. We are trying to get the details of the incident.
