International Desk: US President Joe Biden’s Defense Adviser (Special Assistant) and White House National Security Council Senior Director for South Asia Affairs Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher is coming to Dhaka today Saturday (January 7) on a four-day visit.
Eileen Laubacher will be accompanied by a high-level US defense delegation on the four-day visit. After the tour, they will leave for Sri Lanka on January 10.
According to information, Aileen Laubacher visited the Rohingya camp during her visit to Dhaka, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and other officials of various ministries will hold the meeting.
The meeting may discuss several issues including human rights, democracy, free and fair and participatory elections.
Apart from this, it is said that special importance will be given to the withdrawal of RAB sanctions, restoration of GSP, peacekeeping and establishment, defense, climate and Rohingya issue from Bangladesh side.
