Bashir Ahmed, Bandarban Correspondent: A four-member high-powered investigation team of the National Human Rights Commission visited Rengen Mro neighborhood of Dhenkichhara Ambagan area of Sarai union of Lama upazila of Bandarban district in connection with the fire incident. The investigation team arrived at the scene on Thursday (January 05) morning. The investigation committee stayed in Rengyen Mro neighborhood for two hours and briefed the journalists on the matter after the visit.

Kangjari Chowdhury, Honorable Member of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs of National Human Rights Commission, led the investigation committee.
The members of the committee were Director (Complaints and Investigations) Md Ashraful Alam (District and Sessions Judge), Deputy Director Mohammad Gazi Salauddin and Officer-in-Charge of Rangamati Hill District Office Md Rabiul Islam.
After the visit, member of the investigation team of the National Human Rights Commission and deputy director of the National Human Rights Commission Mohammad Gazi Salauddin told reporters that three houses were set on fire and one house was vandalized. He commented that this incident started with the land dispute. Lama Thana police have been asked to ensure safety and prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.
Shahidul Islam Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Lama Police Station, Sarai UP Chairman Mohammad Idris Company, journalists of Bandarban District and Lama Upazila were also present.
