Prime Minister orders police officers to be vigilant

Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that one should be vigilant so that no one repeats the arson attack. Police officers must be careful that no one can undermine the achievements of the government.

He said this while addressing the senior officials of Bangladesh Police at the Prime Minister’s Office on the occasion of Police Week on Wednesday (January 4). Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and Senior Secretary of Public Security Department spoke among others at this time. Aminul Islam Khan. The welcome address was given by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. Besides, RAB Director General M Khurshid Hossain, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anwar Hossain and others were present.

The prime minister told senior police officials that they will struggle with the movement and the people. But if someone does any destructive activities there, appropriate action should be taken against him.

He also said that there can be many things like party but no one can destroy any work for the sake of the country, for the welfare of the people, for the welfare of the country, for the development of the country, no one can create obstacles in any work. You should pay special attention to that.

Thanking the police force for their past contribution, the Prime Minister said, I thank you, you have played a big role in the progress of Bangladesh. You have suppressed man-made disasters, suppressed militancy, and continued our progress.

Commenting on the responsibility of the police force, Sheikh Hasina said that the law and order of a country is the biggest and most important thing. Keeping that law and order under strict control is the responsibility of the police force.

Stating that law and order is the most important thing in a country, the Prime Minister said that the police force has to fulfill the responsibility of keeping law and order under complete control. For this, the government has increased the overall facilities of the police force by training and sector wise forces.

Highlighting the benefits of being in power for a long time, the Prime Minister said that the improvements we have made in Bangladesh today did not come by chance. We had to work hard for this. We have brought a great change in today’s Bangladesh. We ourselves don’t just say it verbally. Today, Bangladesh is praised all over the world.
