Dhaka Bureau: The family has filed a case regarding the recovery of the body of journalist Sharmin Shabnam from Hatirjheel house in the capital. On Tuesday night, Shabnam’s elder sister filed this case as the plaintiff. Shabnam’s husband, Asian TV’s former crime reporter Saidul Islam, has been accused in the case. Her husband is absconding after the incident. Mejbah Uddin, Inspector (Investigation) of Hatirjheel Police Station, said that the body of journalist Sharmin Shabnam was recovered by breaking the door of the house around 5 pm on Tuesday. According to the statement of the case, on December 18, Shabnam told her elder sister that she was out of Dhaka for office work. It will be several days late to return. Later on the night of December 23, when Shabnam’s mobile phone was called, it started ringing. No one received. When Saidul, the sister’s husband, asked the reason, he avoided the matter. Later, after many efforts, they got the address of the house and went there on Tuesday afternoon and found the door of the flat closed. But at that time, they informed the owner of the house and the police when a rotten smell came out of the room. Later the police came and saw Shabnam hanging from the fan. The police believe that the woman may have died four or five days ago.
