Press Release: A seminar on ‘Dakshatay SME, I’m Entrepreneur’ was held in Rajshahi metropolis under the initiative of Oikya SME Digital Institute, the country’s first SME Digital Institute. Member of Awami League Presidium and Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton was present as the chief guest at the seminar organized at Rajshahi College Auditorium on Monday (October 31) afternoon.
Oikya Foundation (CMSME Entrepreneurship Development Wing) president and prominent women leader Shaheen Akhtar Reni attended the seminar as special guests and spoke as Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil, Police Commissioner Md. Abu Kalam Siddique, Bangladesh Bank Rajshahi Executive Director Mirza Abdul Mannan, Rajshahi College. Principal Prof. Md. Abdul Khalek, and Rajshahi District Education Officer Mohd. Nasir Uddin.
Rasik Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has repeatedly said that you should not find a job but become an entrepreneur, give jobs to others. Following the call of the Honorable Prime Minister, if you can create an organization and provide one or two jobs, then the problem of unemployment will be reduced. Oikya Foundation’s Oikya SME Digital Institute is creating entrepreneurs through training. This is a landmark initiative, welcome to them. Hope to increase their scope of work of Oikya Foundation in the future.
Rasik Mayor also said that development in all areas of Bangladesh is visible today under the opportune leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We have managed to build the Padma Setu in our own way. Many mega projects are being implemented in the country.
In the seminar, President of Oikya Foundation (CMSME Entrepreneurship Development Wing) and prominent women leader Shaheen Akhtar Reni said that the journey of Oikya SME Digital Institute started in 2021. Many are becoming entrepreneurs after training here. 1000 youths are going to get training simultaneously in the divisional city of Rajshahi. Unemployment in Rajshahi will be removed to some extent through this program of creating entrepreneurs.
Calling upon the young society to become entrepreneurs, Shaheen Akhtar Reni also said that you should develop yourself as a complete person. Be an entrepreneur yourself and help others become entrepreneurs. You have to change your destiny by becoming an entrepreneur yourself. Being established and efficient as an entrepreneur, Bangladesh should continue to be respected in the world court.
It is to be noted that Oikya SME Digital Institute is working with the slogan “End unemployment even in skill acquisition” through digital platform with the aim of creating SME entrepreneurship all over the country. Anyone can become an entrepreneur by completing digital SME courses on mobile or computer. You can create employment by being self-motivated.
In an effort to develop about 1000 students of 15 colleges of Rajshahi district as SME entrepreneurs in the seminar, 1000 talented students from different educational institutions of Rajshahi have been admitted to various SME courses courtesy of the President of OikyaSME Digital Institute, Shaheen Akhtar Reni.
In the event, Oikya SME Digital Institute Director – Farhana Ahmed Chaiti and Director (Admin & Operations) Rajib Hasan explained about Oikya SME Digital Institute and the digital course curriculum for SME entrepreneurship and inspired – thousands of young people. The key slogan in Silk City was “SME in efficiency, entrepreneur in me”.
