Satkaniya Correspondent: The police are being accused of filing a false report in a case filed in court against an Omani expatriate remittance fighter in Satkaniya. The complaint was submitted to the Home Secretary of Bangladesh through the Bangladesh Embassy in Oman against the investigation officer of the case, Darul Islam, son of the late Abdus Salam of Ward No. 5, Komira Para area of Bazalia Union, and Police Inspector (Investigation) of Satkania Police Station Shafiqul Islam and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Police Station Tarek Mohammad Abdul Hannan. provided Not only the Ministry of Home Affairs, Darul Islam also provided a copy of the complaint to the Private Secretary of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Inspector General of Police (IGP), District Superintendent of Police Chittagong, Additional Superintendent of Police (Chittagong South) and Additional Superintendent of Police (Satkania Circle).

According to the complaint, Darul Islam had been living with his family in Oman for about 12 years. For several years Darul Islam had been in conflict with his other brothers and sisters over the ancestral place. Meanwhile, in June of this year, Darul came to the country with his wife and children on vacation. On July 23, around 9:00 p.m., after returning from his father-in-law’s house, he sent his niece Sohail home and sent his wife and children to Darul’s nearby shop. At that time, under the leadership of brother Nurul Islam, Md. Harun, Nazrul Islam and his wife Kamrun Nahar, who were getting camels from the east, they attacked Darul’s wife and children with native weapons and seriously injured them.

In this incident, Darul Islam filed a case in Satkania on July 25 as the plaintiff. On the same date, when Nurul Islam went to the police station to file a case as a plaintiff, the OC of the police station did not register the case. Later, Nurul Islam filed a case against Darul Islam and his wife and three nieces in the Chittagong Senior Judicial Magistrate Court as the plaintiff. When the court ordered the OC of the police station to investigate the case and submit a report, the OC assigned the police inspector (investigation) Shafiqul Islam to investigate the case. According to the complaint, Shafiqul Islam did not complete the investigation of the case properly and submitted a false report to the court in exchange of money.

In this regard, the complainant Darul Islam told this reporter over the phone from Oman that when the investigation of the case started, the investigating officer Shafiqul Islam tried to exclude me and other members of my family from the case, the officer in charge (OC) of the police station (OC) Tarek Md. Abdul Hannan and police inspector Shafiqul Islam for himself. Demanding 50 thousand rupees. When I expressed my inability to pay the demanded amount, he became angry with me and sent a false report to the court.

Darul Islam also said that on the day of the incident, when my wife and son were injured and fell on the ground due to the beating of my brothers and sister-in-law, the people around the house rescued them and took them to the hospital. I and my two nieces were not present at the scene. However, the investigating officer filed a court report stating that my injured wife, me and my two nieces were involved in the incident even though they were not present at the scene. Which is completely false, fabricated and baseless. My two nieces among the defendants. Delwar BCS exam and Md. Sifat is preparing to join the army.

Darul Islam expressed surprise and said, “If the incident was true, why did the police not investigate and register Nurul Islam’s case on the day I filed a case at the police station?” Not only that, the investigating officer was impressed by the report
Those named as witnesses are the defendants in the case filed by me. Now my question, the investigating officer of the case

Couldn’t find someone who was present at the scene, who would give the correct information about the incident? However, the investigating officer has kept the defendants in my case as witnesses in this case. As a result, it is easy to guess whether the investigating officer was impartial or influenced?

Darul also said, I am a remittance fighter. I have never sought illegal means of sending money home while abroad. Not only that, during the corona period, I silently helped the helpless people in the area. But the police against me was influenced by money and filed a false report in the court which is really surprising. That’s why I am requesting the Ministry of Home Affairs to investigate the matter and take remedial measures.

Shafiqul Islam, the investigating officer of the case said, I have mentioned the truth in the report. He denied asking for money for the report.

Satkania Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tarek Mohammad Abdul Hannan said that the investigation officer has prepared a report and sent it to the court. Now the court will decide the case. OC said about money, I am afraid of money. I don’t know anything about it.
