All students will get new books on the first day of the year

Dhaka Bureau: Education Minister highlighted the priority of the government in the education sector. Dipu Moni said, “Currently, in the global economic recession, the prices of all the materials for making books including paper, ink are unbridled. Even in such a situation, the government has given priority to the education sector. That is why new books will be handed over to all the students of the country on the first day of January.

He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the discussion meeting and cultural program organized on the occasion of Victory Day at Anima Chowdhury auditorium in Natore on Tuesday (December 20).

Dipu Moni also said in the event, “Since the Awami government came to power, it has delivered books to the young children on the first day of the year. Even during the past corona pandemic, books were handed over to students on January 1, despite the economic recession.

He said that the government has taken initiatives to introduce knowledge-based education in all institutions.

Abdul Quddus, Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education Ministry, Shafiqul Islam Shimul, Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry, Nator Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Sajedur Rahman Khan, Mukti Joddha Shirin spoke as special guests in the discussion meeting organized under the chairmanship of National University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Moshiur Rahman. Zahirul Islam, principal of Nawab Siraj ud Daula Government College, Akhtar and Nato.
