The incident took place on Friday (December 16) night at Abullya Char of Charchandia Union in Sonagazi Upazila of Parswati Feni. Since this incident, the farmers are not daring to leave their cattle including goats and sheep in the field due to the fear of dogs.

It had a total of 275 sheep. Last Thursday around six o’clock in the evening, Selim, the shepherd of the farm, went to the nearby market for breakfast. On this occasion, six wild dogs attacked the sheep farm. At that time, a total of 175 sheep were killed by the bites of six dogs. Among the ewes that died, 150 were pregnant.

Sonagazi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kamrul Hasan expressed his regret and said that action will be taken after investigating the matter.
