Dhaka Bureau: On Intellectual Day, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the nation’s best children at the Shaheed Intellectual Memorial in Mirpur.
On Wednesday (December 14) at 7 am, first the President, then the Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths. They stood there in silence for some time.
After laying wreaths, the President and Prime Minister spoke to the family members of the martyred intellectuals and inquired about them.
At that time, advisors to the Prime Minister, members of parliament, chiefs of the three forces, high-ranking government officials, senior leaders of Awami League and the leaders and activists of the organization of the party were present.
Later, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with party leaders paid tribute to the martyrs.
