After initial investigation, the police said that Veena was brutally killed by her son after repeatedly beating her with a baseball bat for the property. After Veena’s death was confirmed, the body was dumped in a plastic bag in the Matheran river in Raigarh jungle. The actress’s home is in Juhu, Mumbai. From there, the distance of that forest of Raigarh is about 90 km.

He told the Juhu police that he could not contact his mother for several days. After that, the accused son Sachin Kapoor was arrested and the police recovered Veena Kapoor’s body. Now 43-year-old Sachin is in police custody. The police have also arrested her director Chhotu alias Lalukumar Mondal (25) for his alleged involvement in Veena Kapoor’s murder.
During police interrogation, the accused son confessed to killing his mother. For a long time, he was having trouble with his mother Veena Kapoor over the property worth about 12 crore rupees. Because of that, he lost control over himself and killed his mother. The investigation is still going on.
