The Crime Desk: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to ban the departure of local government advisor Asif Mahmud’s former APS Moazzem Hossain and block his NID. The ACC office confirmed this information on Saturday (May 24).
The ACC said that Moazzem Hossain was accused of abusing his power while he was APS and amassing wealth worth hundreds of crores of taka through various irregularities, including lobbying and tender trading.
After questioning him last Thursday, the ACC decided to ban him from traveling abroad and block his NID for the sake of further verification.
Recently, after news of various corruption cases against Moazzem Hossain was circulated in the media, local government advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan was relieved of his APS post.
