Hathazari Correspondent: A young man named Manik (35) was killed in a clash between two parties over a family feud in Hathazari. The incident took place at midnight on Monday (May 19) at the house of Mukum Talukdar in Ahmadiya Para of Dakshin Madarsha of the upazila. The deceased Manik is the son of the deceased Jamal of that area.
Local sources and police said that a clash broke out between two parties in Ahmadiya Para of Ward No. 5 of Dakshin Madarsha Union over a family feud. In this, Manik was severely injured by the opposing people. Later, locals saw him lying in a critical condition, and he died within a few moments.
Dakshin Madarsha Union Panel Chairman Mohammad Shahjahan Badsha said on Tuesday morning that the person named Manik died in the clash between the two parties and that a case has been filed with the police station.
Madunaghat police outpost in charge Ahmed Ashraf said on Tuesday morning that a force was sent to the spot at night after receiving the information. After recovering the body, the postmortem report was prepared and sent to the morgue of Chittagong Medical Hospital for autopsy.
Hathazari Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mostaq Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that the family of the deceased has filed a case with the police station. Two people have also been arrested.
