The Crime Desk: Two sides have engaged in a fight over feeding goats grass with sharp weapons, including a baton, in Baushia village of Karimpur union in Charchanchal, Narsingdi Sadar upazila. During this, a man named Mostafa Mia (45) was killed due to random attacks by the opponent.
The incident took place on Wednesday (May 7) afternoon in Baushia village of Karimpur union in Sadar upazila. Later, the police conducted a raid in the afternoon and arrested two people involved in the incident.
The arrested are Rubel Mia (33) and Alauddin Mia (35). They are related by blood.
In addition to Mostafa Mia, three people, including his son and daughter, were injured in the incident.
Police and locals said that a goat belonging to Alauddin and Rubel, residents of Baushia village, ate grass from the land of their neighbor Mostafa. The women of the two families got into a fight over this. Later, the men of the house also joined the fight. At that time, both sides got into a fight with each other over the matter. At one stage, Alauddin and his brother Rubel hacked and injured their neighbor Mostafa Mia. Later, he was rescued and taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Police conducted a raid in the afternoon and arrested Alauddin and Rubel involved in the incident.
Narsingdi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Emdadul Haque said the murder took place over a trivial incident. We conducted a raid and arrested the two brothers involved in the incident. They will be handed over to the court.
