The Crime Desk: The interim government has announced a 10-day holiday on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The Ministry of Public Administration announced this information in a notification on Wednesday (May 7). Government offices as well as private offices will be closed during the Eid holiday.
In the notification of the Ministry of Public Administration, an executive order has been declared as a government holiday on June 11 and 12. It has also been ordered to keep offices open on two Saturdays before Eid.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued this notification on Wednesday. It was signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Kamruzzaman.
The notification said that in order to facilitate the smooth movement of the public on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, an executive order has been declared as a government holiday on June 11 and 12, 2025, respectively, and an announcement has been made to keep offices open on Saturday, May 17, and Saturday, May 24, 2025, as weekly holidays for the sake of official work.
The notification further states that all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices will remain closed during the holiday. Apart from this, all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices will remain open on two days of the weekly holiday (May 17 and May 24).
