Satkania Correspondent: 3 rounds of shotgun cartridges have been recovered in a joint operation by Satkania Police Station and Army. The cartridges were recovered from inside a tin shed house in Jafar Chowdhury Para, Ward No. 1 of Kanchana UP No. 4 of the Upazila on the night of April 29 (Tuesday).
Police sources said that based on a secret information, at approximately 2:15 am on Tuesday night, the police and army conducted a joint operation at the house of Minhaj, a resident of Jafar Chowdhury Para, Ward No. 1 of Kanchana UP No. 4 of the Upazila and a fugitive accused of the police station and recovered 3 rounds of shotgun cartridges from inside the tin shed house.
In addition, the police station SI Md. Belal Hossain, along with his team, conducted a raid on the road at a place called Ishwar Tek on the north side of Bishwahat Bazar in Ward No. 8 of Dharmapur Union in Satkania and arrested a drug dealer along with 105 liters of domestically made liquor and a CNG.
The arrested drug dealer is named Abdur Rahman (55). He is the son of the late Abdur Rashid of Tajur Baper Bari in Satgharia Para of Chadaha Union of the upazila.
Satkania Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Jahedul Islam confirmed the arrest of a drug dealer along with live shotgun cartridges, 105 liters of domestically made liquor and a CNG in the raid by the police and joint forces and said that a case has been filed against the absconding accused Minhaj under the Arms Act and against the arrested drug dealer under the Narcotics Control Act.
