Pekua Correspondent: Yunus, one of the members of an inter-district robber gang, has been arrested in a special police operation in Pekua, Cox’s Bazar.
He was arrested from his own house in the Bilhachura area of Sadar Union of the upazila at around 3 am on Saturday (April 19). The arrested Mohammad Yunus (40) is the son of Basir Ahmed of the same area.
In this regard, Pekua Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Sirajul Mostafa said that a special operation is underway to arrest criminals, including the accused robber. In continuation of that, a special police team led by Pekua Police Station SI Pallab Ghosh and SI Sunayan conducted a special operation in the Bilhachura area of Ward No. 3 of Pekua Sadar and was able to arrest a member of an inter-district robber gang named Yunus.
There are 7 cases against him in various police stations of the district, including Pekua Police Station, including murder, robbery, and weapons. He said that the police’s special operations to eradicate crime and criminals will continue.
