It is known that in February 1946, the United Nations Economic and Social Council decided to call a conference on the international health sector. The International Health Conference was held in June and July 1946, and the organizational statute of the World Health Organization was adopted. In 1948, the first World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization proposed to celebrate World Health Day on April 7th, and it came into effect in 1950. That is, April 7th was designated as ‘World Health Day.’
This day is being celebrated to spread health awareness and ensure the provision of proper health services to all. In addition, one of the objectives of celebrating this day is to discuss health and health problems. This day is celebrated all over the world under the leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO) to make people aware of various health-related problems. Monitoring and preventing health problems is the main objective of the World Health Organization.
