The Crime Desk: The much-awaited ferry service on the Banshbaria-Sitakunda-Guptochhara-Sandwip waterway under the Chittagong district will be inaugurated today (March 24) at the initiative of the Ministry of Shipping. On this occasion, a rally has been organized at the premises of Sandwip Upazila Parishad in Chittagong district. Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will deliver the chief guest speech on the virtual platform at the rally. Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and the Ministry of Labor and Employment, M. Sakhawat Hossain, will inaugurate the ferry service.

It is worth noting that, in the continuation of the unity that the nation united to build a new Bangladesh in the mass uprising of students and the public with the aim of building a country without discrimination to ensure civil rights and dignity, the long-awaited dream of the people of Sandwip will be fulfilled by launching the Chittagong-Sandwip direct ferry service, as a result of which the people of Sandwip will get a safe water communication system. The quality of life and economic capacity of the people of Sandwip will increase as all types of vehicles, including buses, trucks, tank lorries, minibuses, and private cars, will be created. If the ferry service is launched, the number of tourists, including tourists, will also increase in Sandwip. As a result, Sandwip will soon gain the status of one of the country’s tourist areas, and economic prosperity will come.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping Mohammad Yusuf will preside over the program, and Commodore Arif Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority, will deliver the welcome speech.
