The Crime Desk: Students are getting a long holiday. Educational institutions will be closed for about 40 days from today, including several important holidays, including the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
This holiday will start on Sunday (March 2) and will continue until April 8. This holiday is applicable to all levels of government and private schools.
According to the academic calendar, educational institutions will be closed from March 2 to April 8, including the holidays of the month of Ramadan, Shuvo Doljatra, Independence Day, Jumatul Bida, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Since February 28 and March 1 are holidays on Friday and Saturday, the last class was held on February 27 (Thursday).
Accordingly, education will be closed for 40 consecutive days. In addition, the SSC and equivalent exams are starting on April 10. The holidays will be longer in those institutions that have exam centers.
The heads of educational institutions said that holiday notices have already been issued in various educational institutions in the capital.
Educational institutions are going on a long vacation as the SSC exam holidays coincide with this year’s Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. However, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education has urged educational institutions to hold classes during the exam breaks.
