The Crime Desk: The moon has been sighted in Bangladesh, and the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan is starting from Sunday (March 2). The government office hours have also been changed during the month of Ramadan. Like other years, this time too, government offices will operate from 9 am to 3:30 pm during the month of Ramadan.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification setting the office hours for all government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous institutions, considering the Sehri and Iftar times in the holy month of Ramadan of the year ‘Hijri 1446 (2025 AD). Except for Ramadan, the government office hours are from 9 am to 5 pm.

There will be a break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm during Ramadan. Weekly holidays will be Fridays and Saturdays as usual.

Banks, insurance, financial institutions, postal services, railways, hospitals, state-owned industrial establishments, factories, and other essential service providers will determine and follow their own schedules, considering the public interest, according to their own laws. The Supreme Court and all courts under it will determine the schedules, the Ministry of Public Administration said.
