The Crime Desk: All final exams of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) have been postponed on Monday.
The matter was confirmed in a notification issued by the office of the Controller of Examinations of DU at around 2:44 am on Sunday (January 26).
The notification signed by Controller of Examinations Md. Bahalul Haque Chowdhury said that all exams of seven colleges on Monday (January 27) have been postponed following the request of the principal of Dhaka College. The date of this exam will be announced later through a notification.
It is to be noted that the final exams of the second year of undergraduate studies of seven colleges were supposed to be held on Monday. But when the students of the seven colleges tried to surround the residence of DU Pro-VC (Education) Professor Dr. Tanvir Ahmed over his alleged misbehavior, DU students blocked his way. Due to which both sides got involved in clashes. BGB was deployed along with the police to control the situation. In such a situation, Dhaka College Principal and Coordinator of Seven Colleges Professor AKM Elias called for the postponement of the exams. In view of which, the exams have been postponed.
