Mirsarai Correspondent: Rubber-like materials used in construction work have been burnt to ashes in a factory in the National Special Economic Zone of Mirsarai Upazila. The fire broke out outside the China Harbor Engineering Company Limited in the economic zone around 12 noon on Wednesday. Two units of the fire service reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from a cigarette fire outside the factory in the China Harbor Engineering Company Limited in the National Special Economic Zone. In this, 16 rubber-like materials kept for work were burnt to ashes.
Mirsarai Fire Service official Imam Hossain Patwary said that the initial investigation revealed that the fire started from a cigarette fire. The extent of the damage will be known after the investigation. It was not possible to contact anyone from China Harbor Engineering Company Limited in this incident.
