The Crime Desk: Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jote, arrested in a sedition case on charges of insulting the national flag, will be heard in the Chittagong court today.
For this reason, police, army, and RAB members have been on alert at the entrance of the court since Thursday (January 2) morning. Security has been tightened in the court premises and surrounding areas.
Although the state’s lawyers were present, none of the accused were present. Therefore, the court fixed the next hearing date today based on the state’s request.
On the other hand, Chinmoy Krishna Das’s lawyer Rabindranath Ghosh is currently in India. However, there is a cloud over when he will return to Bangladesh from India.
Earlier, when he was brought to the court on November 26, there was a massive clash between law enforcement forces and Chinmoy Das’ followers.
As a result, Advocate Alif died. Strict security measures have been taken today to avoid this situation.
