The Crime Desk: Home Affairs Advisor to the interim government, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, Just as India is threatening, we are also ready to retaliate. We will not back down in protecting the border under any circumstances.
He said these things at the BGB training closing ceremony in Chittagong on Tuesday (December 31).
On this day, the Home Affairs Advisor said the Bangladesh border with Myanmar is now completely under our control. There is no tension there, but currently we have to maintain contact with the Arakan Army and the Myanmar government. There is no reason for concern at the moment.
Stating that the government is vigilant about what steps to take to protect foreign relations, he added, “We are continuing to communicate with Myanmar for a safe journey to St. Martin’s.”
The Home Affairs Advisor also said that the Khasia community on both sides is responsible for the recent border killings.
