The Crime Desk: 20 gold bars have been recovered from a Bangladesh Biman flight arriving from Dubai at Shah Amanat Airport. One person was detained for questioning at the time.
On Thursday (December 26) morning, the National Security Intelligence Service (NSI) and the Department of Customs Intelligence and Investigation jointly recovered the gold from under an empty seat wrapped with plastic tape on the BG-148 flight.
The weight of the recovered gold is about 2 kg 330 grams. Its market value is Tk 1 crore 15 lakh.
The recovered gold has been handed over to the Department of Customs Intelligence for further legal action, he said.
