Khagrachhari Correspondent: Police have recovered the hanging body of a youth named Md Hanif (30) in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari. This Monday morning, Dighinala police recovered the body from a tree in the student dormitory area of Dighinala Government Degree College adjacent to Jamtoli Headman Para in the upazila. The deceased Md. Hanif is the son of Jalal Uddin Mir of the same area of the upazila.
It is learned that he had gone to a mahfil last night and did not return home that night. The locals informed the police after seeing the body hanging from a tree around 7:30 am.
Dighinala police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Zakaria said, “We have recovered the hanging body after receiving information and sent it for autopsy. Initially, it is believed that it was a suicide. The police are working to unravel the mystery of the incident.”
