The Crime Desk: Due to the delay in printing books, the book festival will not be held on January 1 like every year, said Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Advisor to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
He told reporters after exchanging views with departmental-level officials at the office of the Divisional Commissioner in Khulna on Sunday (December 8) morning.
Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar said that it takes time to print books due to revisions and changes in some chapters of each class book. Therefore, there will be some delay in handing over the books to the students. Also, the book was supposed to be printed in a foreign country. After August 5, the tender was canceled and a new tender was called, so there is some delay in printing the book. Therefore, although there is some delay in distributing the books, it will be possible to distribute the primary books by January.
The advisor said that the new curriculum will put some additional pressure on the students; it is right. This has to be accepted. The reason is that the post-uprising period has an impact on all aspects of the country. Which has also been in the education sector. We have to accept this and move forward.
He said that a mid-day meal will be introduced in all primary schools in phases within the next five years. Which is being launched in the form of a project next year. At this time, he also talked about qualitative changes in various places, including the infrastructure of primary schools.
