Rangamati Correspondent: 10 tourists were injured after a jeep overturned on their way back from the Sajek Valley tourist center in Rangamati’s Baghaichhari upazila. The incident occurred in Sajek’s House Para this Saturday morning.
Confirming the matter, Sajek Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kanak Sarkar said that the tourists were returning to Khagrachhari on Saturday morning after a trip to Sajek. Suddenly, the car overturned and fell 30 feet down a mountain ravine on the side of the road. At that time, 10 tourists in the car were injured.
Among the injured, four people named Zakir, Arfan, Sabuj, Saiful, and Ujjwal were seriously injured.
It is learned that the injured were rescued by army members and sent to Khagrachhari Adhunik Hospital. The injured tourists are said to be residents of Dhamrai in Savar and Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria.
