Entertainment Desk: Former reserved women’s seat MP and actress Suborna Mustafa, nominated by the Awami League, was not allowed to leave the country. On Saturday (November 30), she was stopped by immigration police when she arrived at the airport to go to Thailand. She was later sent back from there.
Immigration police sources said that she was not allowed to leave the country due to some observations and objections from an intelligence agency.
Incidentally, actress Suborna Mustafa has been associated with Awami League politics for a long time. After the Awami League won the 11th parliamentary election and formed the government, the actress expressed her interest in becoming an MP when nomination forms for the reserved women’s seat started being sold. Later, she became the Awami League’s nominated MP for the reserved women’s seat. Suborna Mustafa was a member of the National Parliament representing the reserved women’s seat-4 for the Bangladesh Awami League from 2019 to 2024.
