Rajshahi Correspondent: Transport strike has started in Rajshahi division from this morning with 10 point demand including stopping of illegal vehicles on the road. Rajshahi Paribahan Owners Association General Secretary Motiul Haque confirmed this information on Thursday (December 1) morning.
He said that the strike was called with an ultimatum for 10-point demands, including stopping the movement of illegal vehicles like Nachiman, Karimon, Bhatavati on the highway. Their demands were not met within the stipulated time. Due to this, an indefinite strike has been called from 6 am on Thursday. All passenger and cargo transport will be covered by this strike.
Earlier, last Saturday at the Natore Departmental Transport Owners-Labor Unity Council meeting, the strike was announced with an ultimatum till November 30 for the realization of 10-point demands.
