Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: APBN Police arrested Syedul Amin (24), a top terrorist of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) from the Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar. During the arrest, 2 hand grenades, a domestic shotgun, and 4 rounds of shotgun cartridges were recovered from him.
The arrested Syedul Amin is the son of deceased Yusuf Ali, a resident of Block L/18 of Rohingya Camp-18 in Ukhia. Acting Captain and Superintendent of Police Khandkar Fazle Rabbi of 8 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) confirmed this.
The superintendent of police said that on Monday (11 November), a group of Arsa terrorists were staying in M/17 Block of Rohingya Camp-18 after receiving secret information around 10:00 PM. On receiving such news, a special operation was conducted in that block.
Sensing the presence of the police in the operation, the terrorists tried to escape, and it was possible to arrest the top terrorist, Syedul Amin. At that time, 1 domestic short gun, a bag full of 4 rounds of bullets, and 2 hand grenades in his pants pocket were recovered from him.
Arrested Syedul Amin has 7 murder cases and 2 police assault cases.
