The weather forecast says that it may take until December to feel the severe cold. In the northern region, winter can be felt with dense fog from this time.
However, fog has already started falling in the countryside and riverside areas. However, winter may come to the capital from mid-December.
Suddenly there is severe winter for 3 to 4 consecutive days. This is seen in the two months of Paush and Magha. Last season there was not a very severe winter, but the environment was unusual because of the fog.
However, 8 to 10 mild (temperature 8 to 10 degrees Celsius) to moderate (6 to 8 degrees Celsius) cold currents may flow in the country this winter season.
According to the Meteorological Department, 2-3 severe cold currents (4 to 6 degrees Celsius) may occur in the north-western, north-eastern, and central parts of the country.
However, there is a glimpse of normal rainfall in the country before the severe winter. At this time, 2 to 5 low pressures may develop in the Bay of Bengal, out of which 1-2 may develop into depressions and cyclones.
Day and night temperatures may gradually decrease during this time. However, day and night temperatures may be slightly higher than normal.
