Entertainment Desk: Bangladeshi filmmaker Noor e Alam Taimur has been selected as a finalist in the Gold category at the 24th Digicon 6 Asia Awards ceremony. After winning gold in the competition held in Tokyo, Japan on November 19, he was invited to participate in the event in Japan.
Bangladeshi filmmaker Taimur also experienced Japanese culture on this trip and worked with Asian filmmakers on the possibility of making films in the future.
The competition is organized under the auspices of TBS Television Co Ltd and Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to bring the upcoming filmmakers of Asia in front of the audience.
A Hong Kong film ‘My Dear Son’ has received the Gold Award of the Digicon 6 Asia competition this year and the Japanese film Magnified has received the City Grand Award. Shunske Mizutani, CEO of Bangladesh’s animation lab ‘Studio Padma’ and organizer of Digicon6 Asia Bangladesh hopes to further strengthen this cultural bond.
Noor e Alam Taimur holds filmmaking in his heart. He believes that the day is not far, when the call of Bangladeshi films will reach the whole world, in glory.
