The Crime Desk: Chief of Army Staff General Walker-Uz-Zaman Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad met with Yunus. The meeting took place on Saturday (October 26) at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna.
General Waqar-uz-Zaman briefed the Chief Adviser about his recent visit to the US and Canada during the meeting, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release that during the visit, the army chief met important people associated with the peacekeeping mission, high-ranking military and civilian officials, including the US army chief, and high-ranking military and civilian officials and individuals of Canada.
It is said that on October 17, the Chief of Army Staff met with the Under Secretary General of the United Nations Department of Peace Operations, the Under Secretary General of the Department of Operational Support, the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, and the Under Secretary General, Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs. On behalf of the Assistant Secretary General for Middle East, Asia, and Pacific Affairs and the Director of the Office for Peacekeeping Strategic Partnership, each met in bilateral meetings. During the meeting with the army chief, they highly praised the peacekeeping activities of the Bangladeshi peacekeepers, especially the members of the armed forces.
Army chief General-uz-Zaman returned home on Friday after visiting the United States and Canada. During the visit, he met with important persons related to the peacekeeping mission, high-ranking military and civilian officials, including the US Army Chief, and high-ranking military and civilian officials and individuals of Canada at the UN headquarters. Earlier, the army chief went to the United States and Canada on an official visit on October 15.
