The Crime Desk: An officer of S Alam Group named Sujan Kanti Dey (44) was arrested while fleeing to India through Brahmanbaria Akhaura land port. Akhaura Immigration Police arrested him on Friday afternoon.
The arrested Sujan Kanti is the son of Sanjit Kanti of Malghar area of Haildhar Union of Upazila. Akhaura immigration police in-charge Khairul Alam confirmed his detention.
According to sources, the arrested Sujan Kanti is the senior delivery officer of S Alam Cold Rolled Steels Limited of S Alam Group. He is accused of helping S Alam Group leader in money laundering.
Anwara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monir Hossain said that the police station has a regular case against the arrested Sujan Kanti De for helping the leader of S Alam Group in money laundering.
