City Reporter: There was a report of a terrible fire in Pahartali tire factory. Six fire service units are working to control the fire.
The incident took place at the factory in the Nayabazar seasonal residential area of Pahartali around 9:30 am on Thursday (October 24).
Shakhawat Hossain, a local resident, said that smoke could be seen coming out of the factory after 9 o’clock. At present, the fire service is trying to put out the fire, but it is not under control. Many families live in the surrounding buildings. Locals are trying to bring them down.
In this regard, Abdur Razzak, senior station officer of Agrabad Fire Service, told the media that our 5 units joined the fire control after receiving information at 9:25. However, it is not yet known how the fire started.
