The Crime Desk: Lalmonirhat District Administration Executive Magistrate Taapsee Tabassum Urmi termed Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur who was shot dead by the police during the anti-discrimination student movement, as a ‘terrorist’. He said this in a post on Facebook.

In a Facebook post on Saturday (October 5), Urmi called Abu Saeed a ‘terrorist’ and wrote, ‘I mean, I just think about what a big fool I am in heaven. Abu Said! A boy who creates disorder, a terrorist who died in the hands of his own party while making a mess, is he a martyr! It will also be acceptable now!’

He also writes, ‘And the country’s most progressive society is crying and crying for this law-breaking terrorist. Then whoever I tried to tell that the whole incident is subject to investigation, they listened to those ten words. I have left nothing to explain that I have become an agent of the government from the administration.

Lalmonirhat District Administration Executive Magistrate Taapsee Tabassum Urmi’s Facebook post about Abu Said.

Executive Magistrate Urmi wrote, ‘Will this Atharva society take the responsibility of how many innocent police brothers were killed using the death of a terrorist as an excuse? The chief advisor for this boy came to Rangpur with his team. Cars had to be sent again for this advisory team from Lalmonirhat. Vehicles had to be sent from the remaining seven districts of Rangpur.

Criticizing the Chief Adviser for going to Abu Saeed’s house, he also wrote, ‘Who paid for the fuel cost of such a large convoy that went from the entire department for this rash trip? Anyway, watch the video. Look carefully and memorize. What else can I say!’
