City reporter: RAB-7 has arrested four accused in the sensational Shakib murder case in Chittagong City. On Sunday night (October 06), they were arrested in raids in different areas of the city. On Tuesday, RAB-7 informed this information in a press release. Earlier on September 19, RAB-7 arrested Md. Karim, the main accused in the Sakib murder case, in a raid from the Access Road area under Baklia police station. The four arrested are Md. Badsha (36), Md. Taiyab (40), Md. Naeem (27) and Md. Imu (28).
RAB said in a press release that the deceased victim, Md. Shakib (18), is the son of Feroza Begum of the Kala Bazar area of Chittagong City. The victim was having a dispute with his neighbor, Karim. On the day of the incident, on the night of August 5, a group of 20 people called Amin from his home and took him to Amin’s shop in the area. Then on August 6, Shakib died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Later, Shakib’s mother, Feroza Begum, filed a case with the Baklia police station of the city, naming 15 people and 5-6 others as unknown accused.
The arrested were handed over to Baklia police station for taking legal action against them.
