Mirsarai representative: Hazardous stones and linings have been removed from Khaiachhra spring in Mirsarai upazila. Later on Wednesday, the forest department officially opened the fountains for visitors.
Ashraful Alam, concerned Baraiadhala range officer of the forest department, said that after the incident of death due to stone falling in the Khayachhara spring, the work of removing dangerous stones by the ramping team has been going on since last Saturday as per the instructions of the higher authorities. Tourists were banned for a few days for this. The official announcement of the completion of the program was made last Wednesday.
On this occasion, Assistant Conservator of Forests Harun Or Rashid, Bariadhala Range Officer Ashraful Alam, Khaiachra Beat Officer Mamun, and forest workers related to the fountains were present during the official announcement at the entry area of Khaiachra Spring.
At the same time, he advised the visitors to cooperate with the local guides while traveling to the fountain and not to climb the dangerous slippery high places in the fountain area, and not to go down into the water wells if you do not know how to swim.
