The Crime Desk: The subcommittee on health has published the list of martyrs of the July uprising led by the anti-discrimination student movement. According to the latest information in this list, a total of 1,581 deaths have been reported across the country.

This information was given in a press conference organized at the TSC Auditorium of Dhaka University on Saturday (September 28).

It was said in the press conference that this initial list of martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement across the country has been prepared by the joint efforts of the Central Sub-Committee on Health and the National Citizen Committee formed by the anti-discrimination student movement.

It is said that the preliminary list includes information about a total of 1,581 persons. As-Sunnah Foundation, Human Rights Support Society, Red July, and many other organizations have helped us in preparing the list. Besides, individuals at various local levels have also contributed by providing information, which has played an important role in the preparation of this list.

It has been sent to the committee formed under the leadership of the district commissioner in each district to verify the information on the preliminary list. The subcommittee also said that the final list will be submitted to the health ministry after the committee scrutinizes the information.
