Satkania Correspondent: A DSO of Nagd was killed in a head-on collision between two CNG taxis in Satkania. The deceased’s name is Arman Hossain (28). Yesterday morning, he died at Chamek Hospital around 2.30 am after being injured in the Hasmat shop area of Satkania on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway. The deceased Arman Hossain is the son of Amanat Ullah Chowkidar of Janar Kenochia Chairman Para of Kenochia Union of Upazila.
Md. Kamrul Hasan, distributor of Satkania of Nagad, said that Arman Hossain was working as the DSO of the area from Thakurdighi in Satkania of Nagad to Chamdia Pukur Par. Armaan came to the Keranihatstha office first thing yesterday morning, like every other day. Later, he was going to the Thakurdighi area in a CNG-powered autorickshaw from Keranihat. After the autorickshaw reached Hasmat’s shop area, it collided head-on with another autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction. Armaan was seriously injured.
The local people rescued him and first took him to a private hospital in Keranihat, but the doctor on duty sent him to Chamek Hospital with first aid. Later, Armaan died around 2.30 pm while undergoing treatment at Chamek Hospital.
