The Crime Desk: Japanese Ambassador to Dhaka Aiwama Kiminori has requested Bangladesh Army chief General Walker-uz-Zaman to ensure the safety of Japanese citizens staying in Bangladesh.
The Japanese ambassador made this request in a meeting with the army chief on Tuesday (September 17). This information was informed through a circular from the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday (September 18).
According to the embassy, Ambassador Kiminori discussed the law and order situation in Bangladesh and cooperation with the interim government in the meeting. In particular, he requested the army chief to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals as well as provide assistance to the activities of Japanese companies and nationals in Bangladesh.
The meeting also discussed strengthening defense ties between the two countries, which will further enrich bilateral defense cooperation in the future.
